Crisp up that streaky bacon, sauté the spinach in a little salt and pepper (perhaps a touch of nutmeg), coat the chicken properly (double dip it so it has a crunchy coating) personally I would use a Buttermilk, it adds so much flavour (understanding people’s diet requirements here so in a way I see why you don’t) and keeps the chicken moist. The Henny Penny has the potential to be an outstanding breakfast - poach your eggs to order, now I know that when you’re busy that’s difficult and I can see it’s a small kitchen which makes life difficult, but when you are quiet this is not a big task but the name of the dish leads me to expect that I’m gonna get a nice fresh product. For what it’s worth here’s a few constructive comments. The food offer is ok for the money, Amsterdam is overpriced anyway. Nice relaxing interior, not busy, friendly staff who knew the menu and took the time to explain it. ![]()
